For Immediate Release

Lake Isabella, California October 7, 2021 – Kern Valley Hospital is pleased to announce we will soon be offering a new service for non-emergent medical transportation services. This has been made possible by grant funding through Kern Family Healthcare.

Lack of transportation can restrict access to medical care, affecting health outcomes for individuals and higher costs for medical services. Research finds that missed medical appointments due to transportation issues can lead to costly subsequent medical care, such as hospitalization and the use of an ambulance for emergency transportation.

We are expecting to provide transportation for the following:

·         Clinic – Medical Appointments

·         Pharmacy – Medication pick up

·         Physical Therapy

·         Laboratory Draw

·         Radiology

·         Dental Appointments
