KVHD Celebrates Spring 2023 CNA Class

Kern Valley Healthcare District – The Kern Valley Healthcare District would like to announce the graduation and pinning ceremony of their Spring 2023 Certified Nursing Assistant Class. We want to congratulate these seven outstanding, caring and dedicated students: Patricia, Jessica, Jennifer, Chelsey, Caitlyn and Karmen.

Often the CNA class is the very first stepping stone into the world of healthcare. As instructors for this course, Benjamin Torres, LVN, DSD, and Joy Donoho, RN, DSD, said: 

“We feel very honored to play a role in this chapter of their story. The healthcare profession can be physically, mentally and emotionally challenging. They have learned the value of the frail, the ill and the elderly. They have listened to stories, held hands and truly cared for others. They have learned to love without expectation and felt the loss of giving that love. We are extremely proud of how we have seen them grow through these last few months. No matter where this first step into the healthcare profession takes them, they will definitely be an asset to the profession.”

We want to thank the Board of Directors, the Hospital Administration, Mountain View Health Center, the Human Resources Department, the Public Relations Department, the Hospital Foundation, as well as our many Axillary Departments that go above and beyond to support this program. A special thank you to Kern Calvary Chapel for the use of their property, the extra hands that made this an amazing pinning ceremony and Big Blue Bear for catering the event.
