Kern Valley Healthcare District’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training class begins on February 28, 2022. Candidates selected must be high school graduates or equivalent. You will be hired for a temporary position until course completion, and also be paid minimum wage while attending class. CNA work is both physically and emotionally demanding, and not everyone is suited to this type of work environment. Before applying please seriously consider the duties listed: CNAs provide daily care to multiple patients and elderly residents, which includes feeding, bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, assisting in use of bedpan or commode, changing diapers, ambulating, straightening room, and other general care as needed. Candidates must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully, and respectfully with residents, staff, and the general public. Basic computer skills required.

To qualify and participate in the CNA course, all students must successfully complete the following: Certified Background Check, Live Scan, Health Exam, Provide Proof of Immunization Records, Oral Drug Test, Nursing Assistant Initial Application
